New drone shows debut at Busch Gardens parks in Tampa Bay and Williamsburg this summer.

Busch Gardens drone shows are taking center stage as a key feature of the company’s summer 2026 lineup, with both Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Busch Gardens Williamsburg unveiling new aerial productions on May 20, 2026. The dual park announcement covers immersive entertainment, fresh thrill experiences, seasonal festivals, complimentary beer offerings and major Memorial Day savings of up to 55 percent on tickets, Fun Cards, Annual Passes and Memberships.

The summer programming arrives as the parks prepare for one of their busiest seasons of the year. Each location is layering brand-new shows on top of returning fan favorites, with the drone displays positioned as nightly highlights designed to draw guests after sunset. The simultaneous unveiling reflects parent company United Parks and Resorts’ continued investment in nighttime entertainment, where synchronized aerial performances increasingly complement live shows, refreshed habitats and culinary festivals at both the Florida and Virginia locations.

Wild Skies Spectacular Lights Up Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is bringing back its Summer Nights event from May 22 through August 9, with extended park hours, nighttime rides and a slate of new attractions. The headlining addition is the Wild Skies Drone Show and Fireworks Spectacular, which combines 400 synchronized drones with fireworks across two all-new nightly performances. The show will run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer season, giving guests multiple chances to catch the aerial finale.

Beyond the drone show, the Tampa Bay park is debuting Lion and Hyena Ridge, described as the park’s largest and most immersive animal habitat in more than a decade. The new exhibit, detailed further on the official Busch Gardens Tampa Bay site, houses five young male lions and a pair of hyenas with 270-degree viewing areas, water features and elevated rocky lookouts. Guests can also catch the new Beach Bash show in Gwazi Plaza, the returning Boom Box Dance Party in Stanleyville and several returning indoor productions including Cirque Electric, Animal Tales, Icons and Rhythm of Nature, which give visitors a chance to beat the Florida heat. Patrons 21 and older can also claim complimentary beer at the Serengeti Overlook restaurant throughout the Summer Nights run.

Busch Gardens Drone Shows Continue at Williamsburg

Up north in Virginia, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is rolling out its own slate of summer additions, including an all-new electrifying drone show designed to celebrate the park’s distinct character and scenery. Recognized by the National Amusement Park Historical Association as the Most Beautiful Park for 35 consecutive years, the Williamsburg location follows up on its earlier holiday entertainment success with a fresh aerial presentation that will run alongside several other new productions this summer.

The Williamsburg lineup also brings back Summer of Wonder from June 26 through July 30, with new thrills and award-winning live performances. Verbolten: Forbidden Turn opens May 30 with a reworked storyline and immersive effects aboard the Mid-Atlantic’s first drop-track roller coaster. Two new stage shows will round out the entertainment slate: Across the Pond: Legends of the UK, which celebrates British music icons including The Beatles, Elton John and Queen, plus Kinetix: The Next Generation, which combines powerhouse vocalists with acrobats and aerialists. Members, Annual Pass Holders and Military Pass Holders can also claim free beer from June 22 through July 30.

Patriotic Programming Rounds Out the Summer Lineup

Both parks will honor America’s 250th Celebration with patriotic-themed programming. At Tampa Bay, festivities run from May 22 through July 5 and include military appreciation events, patriotic merchandise, summer treats and a dedicated patriotic-themed drone show to cap off the celebration. Military Appreciation Weekend takes place from May 22 through 25 with a Field of Flags display and special offers for active-duty service members and veterans. Pass Members also get an exclusive appreciation weekend on May 30 and 31 with early ride time, animal encounters and member-only perks.

Williamsburg’s patriotic programming runs from June 29 through July 5 with specialty food and beverage offerings, fireworks on July 4 and Military Appreciation Week. The park’s Food and Wine Festival continues Thursdays through Sundays until June 21, featuring more than 135 international flavors and headlining concerts from artists including Hoobastank and Skillet. Bier Fest Brews and BBQ then takes over at both parks, running weekends from July 24 through August 30 in Tampa Bay and from July 31 through September 7 in Williamsburg, with seasonal brews, beer-inspired BBQ dishes and live entertainment.

Annual Passes and Memberships continue to offer unlimited visits, free parking, exclusive discounts and access to seasonal events year-round. The Memorial Day Sale on tickets and passes is currently available for guests planning to attend the summer programming and Busch Gardens drone shows at both parks.
