Cellebrite DI Ltd., a global leader in AI powered digital investigative solutions, has announced its Spring 2026 Release with a significant new drone forensics capability. The update enables investigators to extract and analyze critical data from dozens of the most widely used unmanned aerial systems, marking a notable expansion into UAV evidence processing for law enforcement and intelligence organizations around the world.

The Spring 2026 Release also broadens device access across the widest range of iOS and Android devices and operating systems, including support for iPhone 17 and iOS 26. In addition, the update brings Corellium availability to Google Cloud infrastructure, which is now in public preview. Together, these enhancements reflect a growing demand for digital investigation tools that can keep pace with the expanding number of devices, platforms, and data types that appear in modern casework.

How Drone Forensics Supports Field Investigations

Digital investigations now routinely span multiple devices, platforms, and data types. According to Cellebrite, the majority of devices arrive locked when they enter digital forensics labs, and in North America that figure reaches 75 percent. That reality puts time sensitive evidence at risk if the right tools are not available. The new drone forensics feature is designed to address part of that challenge by allowing teams to extract flight logs, video, and geolocation artifacts from a wide range of unmanned aerial systems. With portable, field ready capabilities, investigators can rapidly access drone data and view flight paths right at the point of collection.

The release also introduces Safeguard Mode, a new feature designed to streamline data capture by addressing inactivity timers and helping teams quickly secure essential information during time sensitive conditions. These additions align with the broader trend of agencies adopting drones and drone related evidence in their first responder operations and investigations. As more agencies encounter UAV related evidence, the need for reliable drone forensics tools in digital labs continues to grow.

“Investigators face more devices, more data types and more locked screens than ever before. This release keeps our access capabilities ahead of that curve, while expanding cloud options for organizations that need to test and secure mobile platforms, software across vehicles, and embedded systems.” Ronnen Armon, Chief Products and Technologies Officer, Cellebrite

Corellium Expands to Google Cloud for Automotive Testing

Beyond drone forensics, Cellebrite’s Spring 2026 Release also brings its Corellium platform to Google Cloud. Corellium by Cellebrite virtualizes Arm based systems at the hardware level, allowing automotive software teams to recreate and test complete vehicle environments in the cloud. This includes everything from low level controllers and safety critical systems to autonomous driving compute and in cabin infotainment applications, all running at the speed of real silicon without maintaining physical infrastructure.

Testing the multiple interconnected digital systems that help run today’s motor vehicles is a complex and expensive task. Maintaining physical vehicles and associated hardware across generations, chipsets, and configurations grows increasingly difficult as vehicles become more software enabled. Corellium aims to change that dynamic by allowing teams to scale testing across hundreds of system variations and identify vulnerabilities earlier in the development cycle.

“The public preview availability of Corellium on Google Cloud Axion C4A metal instances reflects growing demand for Arm-based infrastructure to support complex development and security workloads. We’re excited to support Cellebrite’s Corellium platform as it brings scalable, system-level validation to Google Cloud customers across mobile, embedded, and automotive environments.” Florian Haubner, Industry Architect Lead Automotive, Google Cloud

Cellebrite plans to showcase these Spring 2026 Release capabilities at its annual C2C User Summit in Washington, D.C., running April 13 through 17, 2026. A virtual event is also scheduled for April 29, 2026. Cellebrite serves more than 7,000 global law enforcement agencies, defense and intelligence organizations, and enterprises, with its AI powered software portfolio supporting nearly 3 million legally sanctioned investigations annually.
