DJI will give the SDR Transmission 2 its international debut at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, the company confirmed on September 8, 2026, ahead of a show that runs from September 11 to 14. The wireless video transmission system is one of two headline products at the DJI booth in Hall 12.G75, where it will sit alongside the Osmo 360 II panoramic camera. DJI, which describes itself as the global leader in creative camera technology, says the booth will cover power, audio, and image capture tools that visitors can evaluate for their own shooting environments.
According to DJI, the SDR Transmission 2 is aimed at small and medium sized film and video production teams. The company lists commercials, documentaries, short dramas, feature films, and multi-camera live streaming among the kinds of projects the system is meant to support. DJI has not yet published full specifications for the new model. Instead, it says that product details and global availability information will follow the IBC showcase and arrive by September 17, 2026.
SDR Transmission 2 Builds on DJI’s First SDR System
The new system follows the original DJI SDR Transmission, which DJI says raised the bar for video transmission. DJI credits its software defined radio technology with delivering stronger stability, better resistance to interference, and improved signal penetration. Details on the current generation are available on the DJI SDR Transmission product page, which outlines how the platform combines SDR and Wi-Fi transmission modes for on-set monitoring. DJI has not said how the SDR Transmission 2 differs from that first model, and it is holding those specifics until after the show.
The other booth highlight is the Osmo 360 II, which DJI positions as its latest flagship panoramic camera built on two decades of imaging work. Its square HDR image sensor increases sensor utilization by 25 percent, which DJI says lowers power consumption while keeping footage clean in both bright and dark conditions. DroneArticles covered the camera’s launch in its report on the Osmo 360 II earlier this month, and the model is now set to be officially available in Europe by September 15, 2026. AI SuperNight 2.0 handles low light scenes, and the camera ships with ultra hard replaceable lenses and 105 GB of built in storage.
Camera Drones, Handheld Gear, and Power Stations at the DJI Booth
Beyond the two headliners, DJI will show its full range of camera drones at IBC. The lineup runs from the 8K flagship Avata 360 with its 360 degree capture and the beginner focused Lito series launched this year, to the follow-me Neo 2, the vlog oriented Flip, the Mini 5 Pro with its large CMOS sensor, the dual camera Air 3S, the triple lens Mavic 4 Pro, and the Inspire 3 at the top of the range. Visitors can also look at the FlyCart100, Matrice 4 Thermal, and Mavic 3M, which DJI groups under its delivery, enterprise, and Agras solutions for boosting efficiency across industries.
The handheld side spans the Osmo ecosystem and the Ronin series. The dual lens Osmo Pocket 4P uses LOFIC technology to reach 17 stops of dynamic range, and it will appear alongside the DJI Mic Mini 2S wireless microphone, the wearable Osmo Nano, the Osmo Action 6, and the Osmo Mobile 8P smartphone gimbal. From the Ronin family, which holds an Engineering, Science and Technology Emmy Award, DJI will display the lightweight RS 5 stabilizer, the Ronin 4D cinema camera with four axis stabilization, the Ronin 2, Focus Pro, RS 4 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Mini, and the current SDR Transmission. DJI Power stations round out the booth with up to 3000W of output, 26 dB operation, and SDC ports for fast charging compatible DJI gear, represented by the Power 2000, Power 1000 Mini, Power 1000 V2, Power Expansion Battery 2000, and Super Fast Car Chargers.
DJI will also run workshops on September 11 and 12, with sessions each day covering handheld imaging and aerial filming. The schedule opens with the RS 5 and Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module at 11:30 on September 11, followed by the Osmo Pocket 4P and DJI Mic series at 14:00. September 12 brings sessions on the Ronin 4D and Inspire 3 at 11:30, the Avata 360 and Neo 2 at 14:00, and the Osmo 360 II with the DJI Mic series at 15:30. All workshops are open to IBC visitors at the RAI Amsterdam, and the SDR Transmission 2 will be on the show floor throughout the four day event.
